Agent Appraisal
Keith Eatmon

When RE/MAX of Buckhead independent sales agent Keith Eatmon moved to the Atlanta area seven years ago, he found out firsthand how frustrating it could be to work with a realtor.

"After I relocated to Atlanta, I started looking for a certain type of townhome, and when I called realtors and told them how much I wanted to spend, they said it was impossible," recalls Eatmon. "Nobody believed I could find a home at that price, but the realtors just didn't want to work hard to find the right home for me."

So, Eatmon decided to do a little house hunting on his own. After all, he had plenty of real estate experience himself-he had been buying, renovating and re-selling homes since he was a teenager in Buffalo, New York. Pretty soon, he was able to find just the home he was looking for, and all it had taken was a little extra time and effort.

In 2001, Eatmon decided to combine his previous experience in sales with his passion for real estate to become a realtor. His goal? To help potential homebuyers who are facing the same dilemma he had faced: finding the best type of housing option that best fits their needs for a price they can afford. "The homebuyer who is spending $79,000 on a home deserves the same quality of service and hard work as the person spending $4 million," says Eatmon. "I love the challenge of taking a buyer's vision and realizing it by finding the home that is their heart's desire."

For buyers who are unfamiliar with all that Atlanta has to offer in terms of real estate, Eatmon identifies their needs through an informal consultation and helps them determine which area of the city might be right for them.

To relocating buyers, Eatmon stresses the importance of choosing a home that is convenient for their particular lives and lifestyles. Because of the growing number of people coming into the Metro area and the oftentimes frustratingly high volu me of traffic, Eatmon recommends buyers take into consideration the proximity of their new home to their jobs, favorite entertainment venues, travel needs and if applicable, their child's school.

"The great thing about Atlanta is that there are so many options available in the metropolitan area,"says Eatmon. "You just have to make a choice that makes you happy and fits your lifestyle."

Eatmon, who is a listing agent as well as a buyer's agent, has lived in several Atlanta neighborhoods over the years, so he offers an insider's knowledge of what the living experience is like in different parts of the city. Also, his Web site, www.keitheatmon.com, features valuable information for buyers and sellers, including a database that helps you start your home search, as well as links to helpful material on schools, entertainment and shopping options.

Above all, however, Eatmon strives to help individuals buy or sell their home with one thought in mind.

"Looking for a home should be a fun, rewarding experience," says Eatmon. "If you're not having fun, or not seeing the rewards, you should look for another realtor."
