I’ve heard Atlanta is a “city of neighborhoods.” How does a new Atlanta resident find
the right neighborhood to suit one’s taste?
Atlanta is made up of various smaller communities, many of which have their own town/village area where residents can walk to shops and restaurants. Finding a knowledgeable guide who knows the many distinct neighborhood amenities is a sure-fire way to feel like a native. For instance, pockets of Atlanta will be changing dramatically due to future funding projects, and possessing that knowledge can lead to an excellent home investment. With so many different neighborhoods to choose from, it is important to experience as many as possible. Whether you’re looking for an area with a thriving night life, a quiet neighborhood with stellar schools, or even a bit of both, Bo Bridgeport can help guide you to the perfect fit.

Are there still affordable neighborhoods in the intown Atlanta area that have high-ranking schools?
Many of the areas have excellent schools. For instance, Decatur is still an affordable place to live and is known for its excellent school system. Numerous neighborhoods in unincorporated DeKalb offer beautiful homes, low taxes and rapidly improving test scores. Additionally, excellent charter schools with strong parental involvement are in many of the intown neighborhoods. Reliable resources are available for determining which schools would be best for your child, such as the complimentary publication Atlanta School Guide and www.greatschools. com for quick, easy reference.

What types of activities are offered in some of these neighborhoods?
Atlanta is a city that really lives life to the fullest. There is always a festival going on in one of the neighborhoods: arts festivals, bluegrass festivals, barbeque festivals, the Dogwood Festival, just to name a few. Because our climate is perfect for outdoor living eight months out of the year, you will constantly notice people jogging, going to parks, cycling and simply participating in life. It is a wonderful place to live!
