Why did you want to become builders?
From an early age, we were intrigued with building homes. We spent many Sunday afternoons riding around with our father, who worked in the real estate business. We built our first home in 1971, and since that time, we have delivered over 5,000 homes in more than 50 communities in the Metro Atlanta area.
What are your personal connections with the city of Atlanta?
We were born and raised in the Atlanta area so it was natural for us to want to start our business here at home. We feel as if we were, and have continued to be, in the right place at the right timeAtlanta is a great market, and we are proud to have been successful builders here for 35 years. Atlanta offers tremendous opportunity for small to mid-size builders. We have never aspired to be the biggest, but rather to provide the greatest value to our customers time and time again.
What services do you provide to meet the needs of relocating buyers?
We recently launched our new Web site, where relocating buyers can research our communities and floor plans to narrow their search. We also offer a Red Carpet for Relos program that allows relocating buyers and their realtors to enjoy complimentary limo service while touring our communitiesthat way, their time spent looking for a home will be more focused, relaxed and enjoyable.
What are some of the new developments your company is working on now?
We are currently building in 11 communities located primarily in the west and northwest areas of Metro Atlanta, such as Barnes Mill, Paces Farm, Lakefield Manor and the Gates at Parkside Village in Cobb; Lochshire in Cherokee; Rosewood Park in Paulding; and The Estates at Walden Park in South Fulton. We will also be opening a new community in North Fulton next year.
