Go West!
Community Living in Nearby Smyrna
by Julie Edwards

1010 Midtown
Town Park’s townhomes offer a Craftsman-style look with plenty of details.

If you’re looking to live outside the hustle and bustle of the city, but still want a convenient drive in, look west to West Village, a neighborhood development located in the Smyrna/Vinings area which includes a retail village, for-sale single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums and for-lease condominiums and townhomes.

The community originally broke ground in 2005, under the management of The Pacific Group, the master developer of West Village, and began selling homes in 2007. When complete, the $380 million 60-acre community will include 1,100 residential units and 190,000 square feet of retail development. Specifically, the project will include 292 for-lease condominiums and townhomes, 120 for-sale condominiums, 115 townhomes and 70 detached single-family homes, all intermixed in both a town square setting and retail lifestyle village.

West Village’s mix of home styles is arranged around a “downtown village.” Residents can stroll down the brick sidewalks into the village to visit service-oriented businesses, retail boutiques, or their favorite neighborhood restaurant hangout, all within walking distance of home. When recreation or friends call, homeowners can enjoy the community pool, spacious clubhouse, sports center or relax by the community’s outdoor fireplace.

This pedestrian-friendly community spans more than 60-acres and features an abundance of green space including miles of walking paths that connect to the Silver Comet Trail. Nestled in the charming Smyrna/Vinings area in Cobb County, West Village is just minutes to downtown Atlanta, Buckhead or Midtown.

“At West Village, residents have the benefit of being able to walk to dinner and being able to reach downtown quickly,” says Dina Gundersen, director of Marketing for Monte Hewett Homes. “The location is excellent—right off 285 on South Atlanta Road and only nine miles from 17th Street.”

The townhomes include spacious gourmet kitchens with high-end features.
West Village’s neighborhoods include: Town Park I, multi-story townhomes built by Monte Hewett Homes; Gateway Park, an exclusive enclave of Craftsman-style single-family homes built by Monte Hewett Homes; and The Flats at West Village, a luxury condominium development from Ashton Woods.

Though Town Park I at West Village is sold out, Monte Hewett recently announced the launch of Town Park II, the second phase of the community’s townhome development, and is looking at the possibility of expanding Gateway Park’s offerings in the future. Town Park II features multistory townhomes, some with basements, with an abundance of options available to provide homeowners maximum choice.

Like all homes by Monte Hewett, Town Park offers enduring styles, well-appointed luxuries and high-quality, energy-efficient construction. Features include two-car garages; 2,663 to 3,250 square feet of living space; gourmet kitchens with stainless appliances, granite countertops, and raised panel maple cabinets; and professionally designed landscaping. Town Park II townhomes are available for immediate move-in with prices ranging from approximately $259,900 to $319,900.
